Sri Kalikambal Travels

We are tucked away on Amman Koil Street in Sowcarpet. It’s a busy part of Parrys, and if you know Chennai, you know how these streets get during the middle of the day. Our place is near the G M T T V School, so we hear the kids and the bells all the time. It’s just a small office, nothing too fancy, really. I usually get here in the morning, open up the shutters, and start looking at the bookings. People come in and out asking about bus tickets or train stuff. We’ve been at No 217/04 for a bit now. The fans hum all day and we keep a few chairs for whoever is waiting. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear the phone, but that is just how it is in this neighborhood. Most of the folks who stop by are locals or people working nearby in the shops. We don't have a big corporate team or anything, just a few of us handling the paperwork and checking the schedules on the computer. It’s a lot of typing and talking on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out. It is a simple setup on a narrow street. There is always someone selling something outside. We just try to get the work done and go home when the sun sets. It’s just a regular travel spot in a very crowded part of town.
