Sonal Refrigeration

Sonal Refrigeration is right here at 21/10, State Bank Street. We’re just across from the S.B.I. and near the L.I.C. building on Mount Road. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise outside. We spend our days dealing with cooling systems that have decided to quit. It’s usually hot work, which is ironic I suppose. Most of the time our hands are covered in grease or we're carrying heavy tools up and down stairs. We don't have a big corporate office; it's mostly just a workshop filled with spare parts and old units we use for scraps. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually organize the shelves. We’ve seen all sorts of problems over the years. Some are easy fixes and others take us all day. We try to tell people the truth about whether a machine is worth fixing or if it's just done for. People in this neighborhood know us as the ones to call when their fridge starts making a weird noise. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to do a solid day's work and go home. Being near Mount Road means we get a lot of walk-ins too. It's a lot of sweat and hard work, but we've been doing it for years now.
