Our office is located at No:52 on South West Boag Road in T. Nagar. If you’ve been to T. Nagar, you know how busy it gets with all the shoppers and the cars. We’re right in the middle of that hustle. We deal with solar energy systems for the buildings around here. A lot of the houses in this part of Chennai are older, so fitting new solar panels on the roofs can be a bit of a puzzle. We enjoy the challenge, though. Most of our day is spent either on the phone or navigating the narrow lanes to reach a customer's place. We aren't a giant corporation with thousands of employees. It’s just a small team of us who know our way around a circuit board. We keep the shop open late sometimes because that’s when people get home from work and want to talk about their electricity bills. The walls are covered with charts and diagrams that we use to show how much sun a roof gets. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a place where we get work done. We’ve been on South West Boag Road for a while, and we’ve seen a lot of neighbors switch to solar. It’s nice to see the changes happening right on our own street. The traffic noise is constant, but it feels like the heartbeat of the city to us.
