It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, which is a nice change from the busier parts of the city. We’re a private limited company, but we don’t really act like one. It’s just a small group of us managing a few properties. The office is a plain room with a couple of computers and a lot of notebooks. We spend a good chunk of our time just coordinating between guests and the cleaning staff. It’s practical, sometimes tiring work. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a bunch of people in suits. Most days, we’re just in regular clothes, drinking tea and trying to get through the pile of paperwork on our desks. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit of a mess, but we still make it in to get the work done. We don't go for any of those big corporate slogans or empty promises. We just try to be honest and fix things when they break. If a guest has a problem, they talk to one of us directly. We’ve been in this part of Chennai for a while, and we like the community here. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to run a decent hospitality service for the people who need a place to stay.
