Smile Stonze Traders

Being on Srinivasan Street in Ayanavaram means things are usually quite busy. We are at 9/32, right near the SBI branch, so it's a spot most locals know. Smile Stonze Traders is what we call the place, but really it's just a bunch of us working with stone all day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with the trucks coming in. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for something specific for their floors or walls. Ayanavaram has changed over the years but we’ve stayed right here. The shop gets a bit cluttered with samples and offcuts but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with this kind of material. We aren't big on fancy displays. Most of the time, we’re just checking the stock or making sure the delivery guys have the right address. It’s simple work, really. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to clean or move around. We’ve gotten to know the neighbors pretty well over the years. If you’re looking for us, just find the bank and we’re right there. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know the stone business. It's practical work that keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the night. We like being in this part of town because it feels like a real community.
