We are down here on Thambu Chetty Street, right at number 274. Some of the older folks around here still call it number 197 though. It can get pretty hectic on this street with all the traffic and people moving about, but we’ve managed to stay put for quite a while now. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we get the work done every day. We handle a lot of food products, mostly stuff you’d find in a kitchen or on a dinner table. It gets noisy inside with the packing and the shouting, but that is just how it goes in this part of town. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the narrow roads, and we have to deal with that as it comes. We aren't trying to be some big fancy corporation with glass walls. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the shutters go down. Most of us have lived in this area for years, so we know the neighbors and the tea shop guy pretty well. There is always something happening outside the door. It is a bit dusty and the fans hum all day long, but it is home for us during the working hours. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure things are packed right before they head out. It’s just us, working hard on Thambu Chetty Street.
