Sekar Stores

Sekar Stores is situated at No.14, A Block, Anna Street in Kauvery Nagar. This is in the T Nagar area of Chennai, which everyone knows is one of the busiest places in the city. Our particular street is a bit more inside, away from the main shopping madness of the market. We are a small local store. We mostly serve the families living in Kauvery Nagar and the surrounding blocks. Our shop is at the front of a small building. It’s been there for a long time. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. People just know we have what they need for their kitchens and homes. The 600017 area is quite crowded, and the streets are often narrow. We have a lot of items packed into our shelves. Sometimes it takes me a minute to find exactly what someone is asking for because we have so much stuff in such a small space. It's a bit dusty because of the constant traffic nearby, but we try to keep it clean. Working in T Nagar means you never really have a quiet day. There is always someone walking by or a scooter pulling up to the door. We know most of the people on Anna Street by their names. It’s a neighborhood where people still stop to talk for a minute about their day. We just keep the doors open and wait for the regulars to come in. It’s a simple way to make a living for us.
