Sanyo Denki India has its office on Avenue Road in Nungambakkam. The address is No. 14, though the old number was 6/3. It’s an old part of Chennai, so the streets are narrow and busy. There is a lot of character in this neighborhood. Our office is in a building that has been here for years. It’s got high ceilings and those old windows. We deal with fans and motors and things like that. We have a lot of stock kept in the back area. It’s a bit of a jumble sometimes. The staff works at desks scattered around the main room. It’s a friendly atmosphere, but we are usually quite busy with orders and shipments. Nungambakkam is a great place to be because everything is close by, but the parking is a total mess. We usually tell people to take an auto if they are coming to see us. We have a small tea station that gets a lot of use. The fans are always running because it’s Chennai and it’s almost always hot. We’ve got a lot of paperwork to deal with, like most businesses. We aren't a huge operation here, just enough people to keep things running smoothly. We know our products well and we spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s a regular, everyday office where we get things done and then go home to our families.
