Our place, Saiksha Food And Beverage, is right on G K Road in T.Nagar. If you know Chennai, you know how busy T.Nagar gets at almost any hour. We are at number 17. It is a lively spot to have a business, that is for sure. We handle different kinds of food and drink items here. It is not a massive warehouse, just a decent-sized space where we manage our daily tasks. Some days the traffic on G K Road makes it hard for our delivery vans to get in and out, but we manage somehow. We are not trying to be some giant corporation. We are just local people working in the food industry. Usually, the office is a mess of papers and samples, but we know where everything is. We started this because we wanted to do something for ourselves. It is hard work and the hours can be long, especially when new stock arrives late in the evening. We do not have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just try to get the orders filled and keep the business running. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the rain starts and the streets flood. We have had a few leaks in the roof during the monsoon, but we patched them up. It is a real, working kitchen and office space for us.
