S K Minerals

We have been operating out of 75/2 Godown Street for a good number of years now. If you have ever been down to Sowcarpet, you know exactly how packed and loud it gets around Parrys. It’s a tight squeeze with all the carts and people moving through the lanes. S K Minerals is tucked away here, and it’s a pretty simple setup without any of those modern office frills. We spend our mornings sorting through what came in and making sure the orders for the afternoon are ready to go. The space isn't huge, so we have to stay on top of the inventory or things get cluttered fast. Most of the guys here have been around for a long time, so we have a rhythm to how we do things. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping an eye on the details of the minerals we handle. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the traffic blocks the entrance for an hour, but you just learn to work around those things. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to show off. Usually, people just know we are here because they have been coming to this street for decades. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something that needs fixing or moving. We just take it one day at a time, keeping the business running as best as we can in this crowded corner of the city.
