Ruby Driving School

Running a driving school in K K Nagar is a real experience every single day. We are located right near Amman Koil on Ramaswamy Salai, so there are always people walking by our door. Chennai traffic is no joke, as anyone who lives here knows very well. We spend most of our time out in the cars with students who are usually pretty nervous when they first sit behind the wheel. We try to keep things calm because panicking never helps anyone learn how to use a clutch or navigate a turn. The office at No 867 is small and basic, mostly just a place to keep the logbooks and schedule the next day's lessons on a big wall calendar. We get a lot of young kids and even older folks who finally decided they need to learn to drive for their jobs or families. Sometimes the cars need repairs because the roads around here can be quite rough on the tires and suspension. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just showing people how to follow the rules and not get into accidents. Usually, we are out on the road from early morning until the sun goes down. It is a lot of sitting and watching feet and mirrors for hours on end. If the car's AC is working well, then it is a good day. We have been in this spot for a bit, and we know the neighborhood shortcuts pretty well. It is hard work but seeing someone finally get their license makes the long hours feel okay.
