N K Traders

We’ve been here at No. 25 Border Thottam for a while now. Royapettah is always moving, isn't it? Our shop is tucked in there where the streets get a bit narrow and the scooters are always honking. N K Traders isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just us doing our thing every day. Most mornings start with someone opening the shutters and maybe getting a tea from the stall around the corner. We spend a lot of time sorting through things and talking to whoever walks in. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, so we just keep the fan going and wait for the evening rush. It’s a busy life in this part of town. People know the address because it's right in the middle of the local buzz. We don’t have a big sign that lights up the whole street, but folks find us anyway. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. Work keeps us busy enough. There’s always some inventory to check or a phone call to take. Border Thottam has its own rhythm, and we’ve just become part of it over the years. It isn’t always easy, but it’s what we do. The rain sometimes floods the street a bit, but we just move the boxes up and keep going. That’s just how it is here in Royapettah.
