Rm Solaar

Rm Solaar is situated on the second floor of a building in Railway Colony 1st Street. We’re right on Nelson Manickam Road, which is a busy stretch of tarmac. You have to walk up the stairs to find us at No. 5. Our office isn't very large, but it’s where we plan out solar installations and look at roof diagrams. There are usually a few solar panel samples leaning against the wall and some tool kits sitting by the door. We spend a lot of our time out on site, actually climbing onto roofs and bolting things down. When we are in the office, we’re mostly on the computer checking weather patterns or figuring out how much wiring a house needs. It’s a growing field, but we still feel like a small local team. We don't have a big sales team or anything. People usually hear about us from their neighbors who had us over to put panels on their terrace. We drink a lot of tea while we look at blueprints and talk about how the sun hits different parts of the city. The traffic noise from Nelson Manickam Road is always there in the background, but we’ve gotten used to it. It’s a decent place to work, and we get to see the city from the rooftops quite often. We just keep doing our bit for the neighborhood.
