Our office is on the ground floor at 9C/ 37, Kareswara Bagooda Street. If you know Mylapore, you know these streets can be quite narrow and busy. We are right in the thick of it. The building is an older one, so it stays relatively cool even when the Chennai sun is beating down on the pavement outside. We deal with a lot of different clients throughout the day. The phone rings more than I’d like, and there’s always someone dropping by with a delivery or a question. We have a small space, so we have to be very organized with our files and equipment. If someone leaves a tea cup out, it feels like the whole room is cluttered. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to suppliers. Sometimes the street noise from the temple nearby gets quite loud, especially during festival times, but we’ve lived here so long we barely notice it anymore. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation; we just want to get through the daily tasks and make sure our clients are taken care of properly. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the timings work out. Usually, we wrap things up by late evening and walk over to get some snacks before heading home. It’s a familiar routine that works for us and keeps the business moving slowly but surely.
