Our office is situated on South Mada Street in the heart of Mylapore. It’s a bit of a confusing spot because the address is New No:23, but the old sign still says No:10, so people get turned around sometimes. We have been working out of this building for a long time. It’s an old place with high ceilings and thick walls that keep the heat out a little bit. Mylapore is a lively neighborhood, especially with the Kapaleeshwarar Temple just a short walk away. You can hear the bells and the sounds of the street vendors all day long. Inside Rbh Enterprises, things are pretty practical. We have stacks of boxes and paperwork everywhere. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we have our own system and it works. We handle various enterprise tasks and distribution work. My desk is right by the front window, and I like to watch the world go by during my breaks. The floor is old mosaic tile, and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We don’t go in for fancy furniture or modern decorations. We just use what we have. It’s a family-run operation mostly, so it feels more like a home than a corporate office. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit and wait for it to come back while drinking some tea. It’s just a normal part of life here. We don’t try to be something we’re not and we just keep at it every day.
