Ramada Rajpark

We are at number 180 on T.T.K. Road in Alwarpet. This is a very busy part of Chennai, and the traffic outside is almost never-ending. You can hear the horns and the buses all day long from the street. Alwarpet is a place where a lot of things happen, and being on T.T.K. Road means we are right in the middle of it. We have people coming in for meetings or just because they are staying in the city for a few days. The staff here is used to the heat of Chennai, which can be pretty intense in the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time making sure the air conditioning is running right because nobody wants to be in here if it is too hot. We have a lot of rooms and spaces to look after, so there is always someone sweeping a hallway or changing the linens. It is a steady rhythm of work that doesn't really stop. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place on the block, just a reliable spot where people can stay when they are in this part of town. Most of us have been working here for a while and we know the neighborhood like the back of our hands. We just do our jobs and go home at the end of the shift. The city moves fast around us, but we just stay focused on our daily tasks.
