Rajindra Gift Collection

Rajindra Gift Collection is up on the first floor at Krishna Iyer Street in George Town. The address is a bit confusing because it has a new number 13 and an old number 6. We are near Govindappa Naicken Street, which is a very busy spot for trading. Getting up the stairs can be a bit of a workout, especially if we are carrying heavy boxes. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of gift items into the space we have. George Town is a hectic place to work, but we've been here for quite some time now. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a family-run thing, and we don't really do any big advertising. People mostly find out about us by word of mouth or by wandering up the stairs. The floors are a bit worn out from all the feet walking over them. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything is just laid out on tables or kept in the original boxes. Sometimes it’s hard to keep the dust off everything since the windows stay open for air. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in George Town. We just want to provide a decent selection of things for the people who come by. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and do our work every single day.
