R E Hardwares

We’ve been at 37/4, General Patters Road for quite a while now. R E Hardwares is situated right off Mount Road, which is a very busy part of the city. Noise from the outside, mostly horns and people shouting, is constant, but you get used to it. Our shop is filled with all sorts of bits and pieces for various jobs. It might look a bit disorganized to a first-time visitor, but we generally know where everything is. If you need a specific bolt or a tool, we can usually find it under a pile eventually. We don't bother with big advertising. Instead, we just open the shutters in the morning and wait for customers. Much of the day is spent standing around and talking to people about what they’re trying to fix. We aren't trying to be a big chain store or anything like that. Being a local spot where you can get what you need without a hassle is our goal. Sometimes we run out of stock, and we have to tell people to come back later. That's just the way it goes. Paperwork gets handled on a small desk tucked in the back of the shop. It’s a bit cramped, but it does the job for us. Enjoying the life on General Patters Road keeps us busy and connected to the neighborhood. It’s a good place to be for us.
