Pratap Plaza Hotel

Pratap Plaza Hotel is situated on Kodambakkam High Road, right by the overbridge. Our address has changed from the old number 96C to the new 168, but we’re still the same place. Being in Nungambakkam means we’re right in the middle of a very busy part of Chennai. You can hear the traffic from the high road all day, but the rooms are set back enough that it’s not too bad. We’ve been running this hotel for a long time, and the building has that older character you don’t find in the new glass hotels. It’s a practical spot for anyone who needs to be near the center of the city. The rooms have the basics—a bed, some chairs, and a place to hang your clothes. We don’t have a big corporate team or fancy receptionists. It’s just us and a few staff members who have been around for years. The 600034 area is quite lively, so there’s always somewhere to get a tea or a snack just outside our doors. We try to keep the place clean and comfortable for our guests, even if things aren't always perfect. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow, but they get you where you’re going. Most people who stay here are doing business in Chennai or visiting for a few days. It’s a straightforward, local place to stay without any of the extra fuss you’d find at a big chain.
