Moogambikai Furn

Our place, Moogambikai Furn, is right on the busy Trunk Road in Poonamallee. It’s easy to find if you know where Sundar Theatre is. In fact, we’re so close to it that we hear the movie crowds all the time. The address says near Sundar Theatre twice for a reason, I guess. It really is the main landmark around here. The road is always full of lorries and buses going back and forth, so it gets quite noisy during the day. We spend a lot of our time moving things around the shop floor. There’s a lot of wood and dust, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s mostly just us working in the heat and making sure everything is where it should be. The building is an older one, but it stays sturdy. We’ve seen a lot of shops come and go on this stretch of Trunk Road, but we’re still here. Most of our days are pretty much the same. We open up, check what needs to be done, and talk to the people who stop their bikes outside. Sometimes the traffic is so bad it takes forever just to cross the street for a snack. It’s a hectic spot to be in, but it keeps us on our toes. We don’t really use fancy words to describe ourselves. We are just a local business in Poonamallee trying to get things done right.
