Picnic Park Hotel

We are located at number 1132 on Poonamallee High Road, right in the Park Town area. It’s a very busy spot because we are so close to the Central Railway Station and the Corporation Building. You can hear the trains and the city traffic from here almost all day and night. Picnic Park Hotel is a place where people stay when they have things to do in the heart of Chennai. We have been operating here for quite a while, and the staff is a mix of older folks who have been here forever and some newer faces. It’s not a polished corporate hotel. We have some creaky floorboards and the paint might be peeling a little in the corners, but it’s a real place. We spend a lot of our time answering questions about train times or giving directions to the station. The lobby is usually full of luggage and people waiting for their rooms to be ready. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just rely on being in a spot where people need a bed for the night. It’s a tough business sometimes, especially when the city gets really hot, but we just keep the water running and the fans turning. It’s just a plain, honest hotel for regular travelers who need a spot near the station and don't want to spend too much money on a room.
