Down on 3rd Main Road in M.R. Nagar, you will find our place at number 229. We are Palimar Kitchens Pvt Ltd, and as the name suggests, we spend our time dealing with everything related to kitchens. Kodungaiyur is a busy part of Chennai, and the street outside is almost always full of trucks and movement. Inside the building, it is usually quite loud with the sound of work going on. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It is more of a practical space where we handle the orders and look over the designs for people's homes. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about what they need and then trying to figure out how to make it fit into their actual space. The heat in Chennai can make the workshop areas pretty stuffy, so we go through a lot of water and tea during the day. Most of us have been working on 3rd Main Road for quite a while now, so we know the neighbors and the local delivery guys well. It is a hands-on kind of business for us. We aren't interested in using big words to describe what we do. We just make kitchens and try to make sure they are sturdy and look alright once they are finally installed. Every day brings a new set of measurements or a different problem to solve, which keeps things from getting too boring.
