Nithiya

This is Nithiya, located right in the middle of Chennai, in the 600001 zip code area. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded and narrow the streets can get around here. It is an old part of town with a lot of history and constant movement every single day. We have been operating from this small space for a long time. There is not much room for anything extra, so we just focus on the work we have in front of us. The humidity in Chennai is always a factor, so we try to keep the place as comfortable as we can for anyone who walks in from the street. It is mostly locals who come here, people who have lived in this neighborhood for generations and know the area well. We do not use any loud music or bright lights to get attention. It is just a quiet spot amidst the chaos of the city outside. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living and working here, but we manage to keep going. People know us by name and we know them. We do not really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the daily rush of customers. The shop is tucked away, so you might miss it if you are not looking carefully, but we like it that way. It is a humble business.
