Newgen Designing

Newgen Designing is a small place located at No 5/1, Sarguna Pandiyan Street. We are in Dr Subbarao Nagar, which is part of the Choolaimedu area in Chennai. We are quite close to the DAV School there. The name sounds a bit modern, but we are actually pretty traditional in how we work. We do design work for houses and small shops. It’s just us and our drawing tools in a simple office. Choolaimedu is a crowded, lively area and we’ve been part of it for some time. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s more like a family business where everyone does a bit of everything. We often have people just dropping in to ask for a quick sketch or some advice on a wall they want to knock down. We don't mind. We aren't the type to charge for every single minute of our time. We just like being helpful. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and rolls of paper everywhere. Sometimes the tea guy stops by and we all take a break. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. We just want to do good work for the people in our neighborhood and across Chennai. We don't do much advertising; we just let the work speak for itself. It’s a plain and simple way to run a business. We have been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
