Narayana Moorthy Modern Rice Mill

We started the Narayana Moorthy Modern Rice Mill a while ago over here in Redhills. If you head down towards Samiyar Madam at Thandalkalane, that is where we are located. Most people around here just call us the rice mill by the road. We spend most of our days getting the paddy ready and running the machinery to make sure the rice comes out right. It gets pretty loud inside when the machines are going, but we are used to it by now. The building is at number 2/88. We just focus on getting the work done every day. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, especially when it rains hard, but we keep at it. My family has been around this area for a long time. People stop by to ask about prices or just to see how the season is going. It is not a fancy place, just a regular mill with dust and bags piled up everywhere. We handle the loading and unloading ourselves mostly. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. Redhills has changed a lot lately with more traffic, but our spot at Samiyar Madam stays pretty much the same. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Word usually gets around from neighbor to neighbor. If you are looking for the mill, just look for the big gate near the lane. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down. It is just life in the mill.
