N. R. Food

N. R. Food is located at 119, Vyasarpadi. We are right near the Eashwari Kalyana Mandapam, which makes it easy for people to find us when they’re in the area for a wedding or an event. It’s a lively part of town, and there’s always something going on outside our doors. Inside, we stay pretty busy with our own work. We prepare and pack food items, and the kitchen is almost always running. It gets quite hot in there, especially during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. We’re a small family-run operation, so everyone does a bit of everything. One day I might be doing the books, and the next day I’m helping with the heavy lifting or the cleaning. We don't have any formal training in business management; we just learned as we went along. Our equipment isn't the newest, and we have to fix things ourselves when they break down. We don’t have a fancy storefront or a big sign. Most of our customers are people who live nearby or have heard about us from their friends. We just try to make sure everything we send out is okay and that our prices stay fair. It’s not an easy life, and the hours can be long, but it’s ours. We just feel okay about showing up every day and doing the work that needs to be done without making a big fuss about it.
