You can find Mudhatri Foods over in Porur, specifically at Plot numbers 135 and 136 on 4th Cross Street in Lakshmi Nagar Extension. It’s a decent-sized spot for us, and being in Chennai means we’re always near where the action is. The street can get a bit narrow when the big trucks come in, but the neighbors are mostly used to us by now. We started this business because we wanted to do something local and food-related. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the regulations and making sure everything is as clean as it should be. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The floors are hard, and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. We don't really have a lot of fancy decorations in the workplace. It’s all very functional—shelves, tables, and packing stations. We try to keep a good atmosphere, though. Someone usually has a radio playing in the corner to keep things moving. We’ve had to learn a lot as we went along, like how to manage the inventory so nothing goes to waste. It’s not always perfect. Sometimes a machine breaks or a supplier is late, and we have to scramble. But that’s just the reality of running a food business. We’re just a group of regular people trying to run a decent operation here in Lakshmi Nagar. We take each day as it comes and try to stay organized.
