M/S I.P.L. Products

M/S I.P.L. Products is found at K-2 in the Thiru-Vi-Ka Industrial Estate in Guindy. This is one of the oldest industrial areas around, and it shows in the character of the buildings. Our workshop isn’t very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There’s always the sound of metal being cut or machines humming in the background. It gets pretty warm in here, so we usually have the big front shutters rolled all the way up. We don’t have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably see one of us covered in a bit of soot or holding a wrench. We spend most of our time on the shop floor making sure the products are coming out the way they should. It’s a hands-on kind of life. Most of the guys here have lived in Chennai their whole lives and know the Guindy area like the back of their hand. We drink a lot of tea and keep the fans running as much as we can. We don't have any polished brochures or a big sales team. We just take the orders that come in and get to work. When the crates are packed and ready to go, we stack them up by the door for the trucks. It’s a busy, cramped space sometimes, but it’s where we do the work. We just take it one day at a time and keep the machines running.
