You can find us right behind the A.S.R. Kalyan Mandapam in Arumbakkam. Being on Poonamallee High Road means there is always a lot of noise from the cars, but we've gotten used to it. We deal in diamond tools. It’s specialized work, mostly for cutting and grinding. The shop isn't very large, but we keep a lot of stock squeezed onto the shelves. Most days it's just me and a couple of others checking the inventory and talking to customers who come in needing something for a construction job. We don't have a website that works very well, we mostly just talk to people face to face. If someone needs a specific bit or a blade, we go look for it in the back. It’s a bit cluttered in there, to be honest. But we know where everything is. The heat in Chennai gets to us in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we work. We aren't trying to be the biggest tool shop in the city. We just want to make sure the people who come here get what they need so they can get back to their own jobs. It’s practical work. No big speeches or fancy logos. Just diamond tools and a lot of grit. The location is good because people know the mandapam, so they find us eventually. It’s just how we run things here day after day and it keeps us occupied.
