Moorthy Contranier Machine

Down here at 6, Mandaveli Street in Maduravoyal, things stay pretty loud. Moorthy Contranier Machine is basically a workshop where we spend our hours messing with heavy parts and making sure the machines are running right. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a clean shirt. We have tools scattered around and the floor is usually covered in something or other. Moorthy started this because he knew his way around these containers and machines better than most. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we’ve become a bit of a fixture on this street. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, if you call, you'll hear the sound of a grinder or a hammer in the background. We just take the jobs as they come in. Some days are long, especially when a machine is being stubborn, but we don't mind the overtime much. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We've had the same neighbors for years, and they're used to the noise by now. We don't really bother with trying to look like a big corporation. We are just a group of people who enjoy fixing things and making sure the work gets finished. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going and get on with it.
