Micro Food & Allied Industry

Micro Food & Allied Industry is located at number 6, Subramanian Nagar. It’s on the upstairs floor on the Cross Street in Kodambakkam. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs every morning, especially if we are carrying bags or equipment. Being in Kodambakkam means it’s always lively outside. You can hear the bikes and the vendors from the window. The office is a bit small, tucked away above the ground floor shops. We do a lot of our thinking and planning in that one room. It gets a little cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. The allied industry part covers a lot of things, so our days are never really the same. One day we are worried about sourcing and the next it’s all about the packaging. We don't have fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a regular workspace with some computers and a lot of ledgers. Sometimes we forget to turn the fan off when we leave. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting us. We like being in this neighborhood though. It feels like we are right in the middle of everything. It’s just us, working hard in a small space, trying to make things happen without too much fuss. We often stay late to finish up the paperwork or check the inventory. It is a bit tiring but that is how it goes.
