Down here in C-26, Annanagar East, we’ve set up our tech hub. Mbo Computers has been around for some years now. Anna Nagar is a good place to be, though the parking can be a real headache some days when everyone is out. We spend most of our time fixing laptops or putting together new systems for people in the neighborhood. Our office isn't one of those glass buildings you see in the IT parks. It’s a more grounded space where people can actually walk in and talk to us about their hardware problems. We have shelves full of motherboards and old cables that we might need one day for a repair. The air conditioner hums in the background, trying to keep the machines cool while we work on them. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken screen and we have to tell them it might take a few days to find the right part. We try to be honest about how long things take. We aren't trying to sell anyone something they don't actually need. Usually, it's just me and a couple of technicians drinking coffee and looking at circuit boards under the magnifying glass. We see a lot of students and families from around the area who need their computers for school or work. It feels good when someone brings back a computer we fixed years ago and says it’s still running. We don't have a marketing team. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door in Chennai.
