Mayajaal On Shore Resort

We are located out on the East Coast Road, specifically in Kanathur. You’ll find us near Ragas Hospital. Being out here in Neelankarai is great because of the sea breeze and the open space. It’s quite a change from the crowded streets of central Chennai. We run the resort here, and it’s a lot of maintenance work to keep everything looking okay. Salt air is tough on buildings, so we are always painting or fixing something. It’s a place for people to come and stay for a bit, maybe have a swim or a meal. We have people coming in for the weekend or for some function they are hosting. It’s not always perfect; sometimes the plumbing acts up or the garden needs extra work after a storm. We just deal with it as it comes. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we are all locals. We don't have a corporate office somewhere else; we are right here on the property. People come here to get away from their busy lives for a day or two. We just try to keep the place clean and the food decent. It’s a straightforward business. We see a lot of families on Sundays. The ECR road is always busy with cars, but once you get inside, it’s a bit more peaceful and quiet.
