You can find us at F-202 in the Premier Grihalakshmi Apartments. We are on Vayuputra Street in Elango Nagar South, which is part of Virugambakkam. It’s a bit unusual being in an apartment building, but it works for what we do at Machinetools.Com. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main roads. We have a couple of rooms set up with desks and computers. It’s not a big corporate office with a lobby or anything. It’s more like a home office that grew a bit too big. We spend a lot of time on our computers and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing in the hallway or you can hear someone cooking next door. It gives the place a very local, lived-in feel. We try to keep things organized, but with all the papers and equipment we have, it can get a little cramped. We usually have some tea around eleven and talk about how the traffic was coming into Virugambakkam. There isn't any big hierarchy here. We all just sit in the same space and help each other out when someone hits a snag. It’s a relaxed way to work, even if the space is a bit small. We like the street we are on because it’s got some nice trees and it feels more like a community than a business district. It’s just us doing our thing in a quiet corner.
