Mabara Manufacturing Company

If you ever find yourself wandering around Choolaimedu, you might pass by us on 1st Street in Thiruvalluvarpuram. We are located at 8/100, which is just a regular building tucked away from the main noise. At Mabara Manufacturing Company, the day starts early. I usually grab a tea from the stall down the road before opening up. The street is narrow, so when we have deliveries arriving, it can be a bit of a squeeze for the lorries. Inside, it’s all about the production line. We have various stations set up for the different stages of manufacturing. It’s not a quiet place once the motors start humming. My hands are usually stained with something or other by noon. We don’t have fancy marketing people writing stuff for us, we just focus on the items we’re putting together. Sometimes the fans don't do enough to keep the place cool, but we’re used to it. The walls have some old calendars and posters that have been there since we moved in. We spend a lot of time double-checking measurements and making sure the machines are running right. It’s steady work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city, just trying to keep our customers happy with what we send out. The evening is when we pack everything up and get the invoices ready. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
