Ma Kali Hotel

We have been running Ma Kali Hotel for quite a while now at Number 26, Kolandai Street. It is a busy little corner of Park Town here in Chennai. Being so close to the Chennai Central Railway Station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside our doors. We see travelers coming off the trains at all hours, looking for a place to sit or stay. The street is usually crowded with rickshaws and people carrying heavy bags. We do not have a big corporate team or anything like that. It is just us doing the daily work of keeping the rooms tidy and the kitchen going. We have seen many changes in this part of town over the years, but our building stays pretty much the same. Sometimes the pipes act up or the paint gets a bit dull, but we fix things as we go along. It is an honest living and we do not try to make it sound like something it isn't. People find us because we are right there near the station and we have been here long enough that the locals know the name. We focus on the basic things like making sure there is enough water and the floors are swept. It is just a regular hotel for regular people passing through Park Town. We do our own work every day and that is enough for us.
