Amirtham Paints

Our shop is located at No. 150/297 on Avvai Shamugam Salai, which most people around here still call Lloyds Road. It’s a busy spot, and we are right in the middle of it all. Working with paints means our floors and counters are almost always covered in little droplets of different colors that never quite come off. We spend the day opening tins, mixing shades, and helping people figure out how much paint they actually need for their walls. Sometimes someone comes in with a tiny scrap of fabric and asks us to match the color, which can be a real challenge but we just get on with it. The smell of fresh paint is something you stop noticing after the first hour of opening the shutters. We have stacks of cans everywhere, reaching up to the ceiling in some parts of the store. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we get a big delivery and have to find space for everything. People come in from the neighborhood all the time, some just to ask advice and others ready to haul away several buckets of primer. The traffic on Lloyds Road is usually quite heavy, so there is always a background noise of horns and engines. We don't have any fancy displays, just rows and rows of paint and some brushes hanging up. It is a simple business, and we have been at this location for a good while, serving the local crowd.
