If you’re looking for us, we’re right at No 5 Srinivasa Tower on Cenotaph Road. Being next to Dhaba Express is actually pretty handy because the smell of food drifts over sometimes. Here at Lanson Toyota Teynampet, the days are mostly filled with cars and people coming in to talk about them. It gets pretty loud with the traffic outside in Teynampet, but we’re used to it. The showroom is usually busy, especially in the mornings. We spend a lot of time on our feet, walking around the floor or sitting at the small desks talking to whoever walks through the door. It’s not a quiet library kind of place. There are always keys jingling and phones ringing in the background. We’ve been in this part of town long enough that most locals know the building. The staff here is just a bunch of regular people who know a fair bit about engines and tires. We don't use a lot of fancy words. If a car has a scratch or a weird noise, we just say it. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down, which is a bit of a disaster for us in the mornings. But usually, things run okay. We just keep the cars shiny and try to help people find what they need without making it complicated. It's a straightforward way to spend the day. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait, and some old magazines.
