Lanson Toyota Neelankarai

Our place is at No 611 on the East Coast Road in Neelankarai. Being right on the ECR means we get a lot of sea breeze, but also a lot of salt in the air which we have to clean off the cars constantly. We handle Toyota vehicles here, and the lot is usually pretty full with different models. It’s a big open space because we need the room for all the cars coming in for service or just sitting for sale. Neelankarai is a nice part of town, even if the traffic gets a bit heavy on weekends when everyone heads to the beach. We have a lot of regular folks from the neighborhood who drop their cars off and walk home while we work on them. The workshop stays busy from morning until late evening. You can usually hear the sound of air wrenches and engines revving if you walk past our gate. It’s not just about the shiny new cars out front; the real work happens in the back where the grease and oil are. We try to keep the lobby decent for people waiting, but mostly we are focused on the mechanics of things. We have a mix of young guys learning and older mechanics who have seen every Toyota model there is over the years. We just keep our heads down and work through the list of jobs every single day.
