Our office is over on Kattabomman Street in MGR Nagar, Chennai. It’s a typical city street, pretty narrow and usually full of scooters and people walking by. We handle various international trade and local supply tasks from this small base. It’s not a shiny glass building; it’s a regular ground-floor space where we keep our files and take our calls. The humidity in Chennai can be tough on the paperwork, so we try to keep things organized as best as we can. We’ve been operating here for some time now, and we’ve gotten to know the rhythms of the neighborhood. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to checking the shipments. We aren't the kind of company that uses big corporate slogans. We just talk to our suppliers and customers like normal people. Sometimes things get delayed at the port or with the trucks, and we just have to deal with it and keep our clients informed. We drink a lot of coffee and stay late when the time zones mean we have to talk to someone overseas. It’s just a small-scale operation making its way in a big city. We value the relationships we’ve built with the local people around here. Each day brings something different, and we just try to keep up with the work as it comes in.
