Kothari Travels

Kothari Travels is up on the third floor of the Unity Complex. We are at No 39 on Narayana Mudali Street. This is right in the heart of Sowcarpet, which is probably the busiest market area in all of Chennai. If you know the Flower Bazaar Police Station, we are very close to that landmark. Getting to the third floor is a bit of a climb but it’s worth it to get away from the noise of the street for a bit. Downstairs, Narayana Mudali Street is always full of shoppers and carts moving goods back and forth. Up here, we handle travel bookings and tickets. It’s a small office but we make the most of the space. We have computers and a couple of phones that seem to ring all the time. Being in Sowcarpet means we see a lot of local business owners who need to travel for their work. We also help families who are going on vacation. It’s a lot of checking prices and finding the right dates for people. The building is an older one, like most of the structures in this part of town. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just a simple door with our name on it. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they are already in the area for shopping. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work every day.
