You can find Koodath Agro Exports Pvt. Ltd. on the second floor of number 58 Pantheon Road in Egmore. Being on the second floor means we get a little bit of a view of the street, but mostly we just see the tops of buses and cars going by. Egmore is a central place, so it’s always loud and crowded outside. Our office isn’t huge, but it’s enough for what we need. We handle the agro exports side of things, which involves a lot of phone calls and looking at spreadsheets. It’s different from working on a farm because we are mostly dealing with the logistics and the documents. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. We have some folders piled up on the shelves and a few plants that we try to keep alive in the corner. It’s a workplace where things can get a bit stressful when deadlines are close, but we just push through it. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team of us sitting at our desks and making sure the shipments are moving. We eat our lunch together sometimes and talk about everyday stuff. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it’s mostly just office work. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just do the job and head home.
