Aarna Agro Exports

You can find Aarna Agro Exports on the first floor at Old No. 70 A & 70 B on Linghi Chetty Street. It’s an old building, the kind you see a lot of in this part of town. The stairs are a bit steep, so we get our exercise going up and down all day. We deal with agro exports, which means a lot of checking lists and making sure things are packed right. Linghi Chetty Street is always moving, so there’s always something happening outside our windows. We have a couple of rooms there on the first floor. It’s mostly desks piled with papers and some samples of the stuff we export. It isn't a modern office with glass walls or anything. We use old fans that click a bit when they're on high. It feels lived-in. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other people in the building. We don't really have a big sign out front, just the name near the door. Most people who come here already know where we are. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out labels. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window for a bit until it comes back. We don’t mind it much. It’s just how things go on Linghi Chetty Street.
