Juice Forest

You can find us right on Station View Road in Kodambakkam. It’s a busy little stretch because of the train station nearby. People are always walking past our door at No 18. We deal with a lot of fruit every day. You can usually smell the citrus when you walk in. It gets pretty sticky in here during the summer months, but that's part of the job. We don’t have a lot of fancy seating or anything. It’s a functional space. We spend a lot of time cleaning up pulp and washing out containers. The noise from the trains is something you just get used to after a week or two. It’s a good spot for us because everyone passes by on their way to work. We see the same faces every morning and evening. We keep it straightforward. If we have fresh stuff, we put it out. We aren't trying to be a trendy lounge. It’s just a place to get something cold and fresh. Sometimes we run out of certain things by mid-afternoon if the deliveries are late. That’s just how it goes. Kodambakkam has a certain energy that we like. It’s crowded and loud, but it feels real. We stay busy from the moment we open the shutters until we lock up at night. It’s hard work, but we like the pace and the people we meet every day.
