Knc Modern Rice Mill

If you come down T T K Road in Alwarpet, you’ll find us at number 234. You’ll probably hear the machines before you see the sign. The rice mill has been running for a long time, and the building itself has a lot of history. There’s always a faint smell of grain in the air, which I’ve grown to really like over the years. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the raw material arrives. We have a small team here, mostly local folks who know the equipment inside and out. It’s loud, so we’ve learned to communicate with just a few words or hand signals while the hullers are running. The Alwarpet traffic outside is always a bit of a mess, but once you step inside our gates, it’s just the rhythm of the mill. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning; we just have a small cabin with a fan and a stack of ledgers. Everything we do is pretty straightforward. We process the rice, bag it up, and get it ready for whoever needs it. Some days are long, especially when the harvest season is at its peak and the bags are piling up to the ceiling. We just keep our heads down and work. It’s a bit dusty and the work is heavy, but it’s what we know. It keeps us going day after day.
