We are located over at 19/22, 29th Street in Nanganallur. Kalyani Fresh Vegetus Pvt Ltd might sound like a big name, but we’re really just a local operation dealing with fresh produce. Every morning starts very early, way before the sun is up, when the crates of vegetables arrive. It’s cold and damp at that hour, but that’s when the work gets done. We sort through everything on the floor of our unit on 29th Street. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes around. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, but we’re a hive of activity in the early hours. We aren't interested in being some giant corporate entity. We just want to get the vegetables out to where they need to go while they’re still good. Sometimes the quality isn't what we hoped for from the market, and we have to deal with that. It’s a messy business, honestly. There’s always leaves on the floor and water everywhere. Our staff is mostly people from the surrounding areas who don't mind the physical labor. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just show up, do the work, and go home tired. Nanganallur is a nice place to be based, and we’ve gotten to know the rhythms of the streets here quite well. We aren't trying to do anything fancy, just trying to keep the crates moving day after day.
