You can find us at No 11 on Cocharine Basin Road, right in the heart of Old Washermanpet. We are very close to the dry fish market, so there is always a lot of activity and noise around during the morning hours. It is a busy part of Chennai, and our hotel has been part of this neighborhood for years. The building isn't brand new, but it is solid and gets the job done for people needing a place to stay. Most of our guests are here for business in the market or visiting relatives in the area. We keep things simple because that is what people around here usually want. There is no big fancy entrance, just a door that leads to our front desk. We spend our days checking the rooms and making sure the fans are spinning. It gets hot in Chennai, so that is important. Living and working near the market means we are used to the smells and the sounds of the city. It is a real place, not some polished tourist trap. We see a lot of the same faces coming back month after month. We do not have a big staff, so you will usually see the same two or three people every time you stop by. It is just a basic hotel in a very old part of town. We are okay with things being a bit worn around the edges as long as the beds are comfortable.
