Hotel Mars

If you head down 768, Pammal Main Road in Pallavaram, you’ll find us easily enough. Hotel Mars is just a straightforward building on a road that never seems to get quiet. We have been working here for a while now, and the rhythm of the place is pretty set. In the mornings, we check the water tanks and make sure the lobby looks decent. The fans in the rooms hum a certain way, and we’ve gotten used to that sound over the years. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place to stay on Pammal Main Road. Sometimes the traffic outside gets backed up, and you can hear the horns from the front desk. We just keep doing what we do. There are stairs to climb and hallways that go on for a bit. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone writing fancy scripts for us. If someone asks for a room, we look at the book and see what’s open. It’s simple. The walls are painted a light color that we touch up every now and then when it gets scuffed. We spend our breaks talking about the local news or what’s for lunch. It’s a practical sort of life here at number 768. We know the postman and the grocery guy who stops by with supplies.
