Our office is at No.15/8 on Bawa Road in Abiramapuram, Chennai. This part of Chennai has a bit of a different feel compared to the really busy commercial hubs. It’s a bit more settled, though Bawa Road still gets its share of traffic. Hindustan Power Company (P) Ltd. is based in this building, and we have been here for a good amount of time. The office is spread out over a couple of rooms that we’ve filled with desks, cabinets, and all the usual things you find in a workplace. It’s often quite humid here, as is typical for Chennai, so we keep the fans going at full speed most of the day. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby; it's more like a place where you just walk in and find us at our desks. There’s a small tea shop just down the road where we go sometimes when we need to stretch our legs. The routine is pretty steady. We come in, check the mail, handle the phone calls, and work through the projects we have on hand. It is a quiet sort of productivity. We’ve grown fond of the neighborhood over the years. It feels like a solid place to be based. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we just focus on making sure the work is handled properly and the files are kept in order. It’s a simple setup for a team that has been working together for quite a while now. We just get on with it.
