Hi-Tech Air Power is located at 1, 2nd Street in Vinayagar Puram, Arumbakam. It’s a busy little corner of the world. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the hum of machines or the sound of someone testing a compressor. The street is pretty narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze if two cars try to pass each other. We’ve got a small team here working out of a space that’s mostly filled with spare parts and heavy equipment. It’s not the cleanest place in the world—there’s usually a bit of grease or dust on the floor—but that’s just the nature of the work. We spend our days answering phones and looking at technical drawings. The office area is just a corner with a few old desks and a computer that’s seen better days. We don't go in for anything fancy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. Most of the guys have been here for years, so we all know how things work. Lunch is usually something picked up from the shop around the corner. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything. We just fix things and sell the parts that people need to keep their own businesses running. It’s just honest work in a dusty part of town and we like it that way. We just keep moving.
